Ventura Girls Fastpitch

Ventura Girls Fastpitch is looking forward to our 47th year in providing girls in our community an opportunity to participate in building character, courage and loyalty in a fun, safe, affordable and competitive softball program. We are the only Youth softball league representing the city of Ventura in which any girl can play regardless of her experience and or abilities. On average we register 280 girls each year and have increased our number of players by 5.5% this last year and 3% in 2021. Our success is dependent upon registration fees, our Ventura Breeze All Star tournament and the generosity from families and businesses via tax deductible donations to offset the cost of running the league. Ongoing efforts and support from our board and community gives VGFP the ability to provide players with a solid foundation in building friendships while learning athletic and leadership skills they will carry with them throughout their future. Your support will not only promote your family or business but will also enrich every child in our program.

This year we are focusing on raising funds for a custom snack bar. As a nonprofit having a snack bar that could generate a consistent reliable income for the league as well as provide refreshments and healthy snacks and treats for the players and families would be such a treasure the league could utilize for years to come. Each season we find it necessary to purchase new and used equipment. Our players work hard and thus use the equipment often to the point of falling apart. Extra balls, buckets, bownets or batting nets, batting helmets, tees and catchers gear that fits girls from ages 5-14 are the types of equipment items we need. Annually we receive many scholarship requests. We take pride in fulfilling as many of these requests as possible. Additional sponsorship funds will be utilized to expand our scholarship program so that all girls desiring to play will have an opportunity. These are just three of the many needs our program has, in addition to our normal league operations.
